Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/2 scale Hopkins & Allen “Parrot Head derringer that I believe was made by Tom P. Weston in Mexico City, Mexico, or Fred Thacker in El Paso, Texas, probably in the 1950’s or early 1960’s. Fully functional and shoots the 2mm rim fire cartridge. 1 3/4″ long overall with a 7/8” smoothbore barrel of about .085 caliber. The steel parts are mostly finished in the white with the exception of the button on the left side that opens the breach, the trigger, and the grip screw which are blued. The tip of the trigger is serrated. There is a button on the left rear of the frame that when pushed forward releases the barrel to pop up for loading. Two piece nicely figured rosewood grips with a single screw entering from the left side. Mechanically excellent. There is some slight staining to the in the white finish, but no real etching or rust. I’d call it 95%. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
