Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 47% scale miniature Colt 1873 Single Action Army “Sheriff’s Model” revolver with 3″ barrel. Also known as the “Peacemaker” and the “Frontier six Shooter”. Fully functional, but non-firing. 4″ long overall with a 1 3/8″ .21 caliber rifled barrel. Made by Uberti in Italy.  No Uberti roll stamped markings on the bottom of the barrel, and no plug in the barrel!  Beautifully figured deluxe walnut grips. The caliber marking 45 CAL is stamped on the left rear side of the triggerguard, no patent dates stamped on the left front of the frame. Serial number 52, is stamped into the bottom of the frame, triggerguard, backstrap.  52 is also stamped into the rear of the cylinder & the loading gate hinge.  I do believe this is the earliest serial number I have ever seen on a Uberti Colt SAA revolver.  Blue and case colored finish. Checkered hammer spur. Blue blade type front sight. Black powder frame with a screw retaining the cylinder pin, and the early “pinched frame” top strap.  There are some spots of blue loss on the cylinder, at the rear edge, the edges of the flutes, and down in the flutes themselves, and a couple of very small bruises to the bottom edges of the grip.  Neither is real noticeable, especially if the cylinder is oriented to hide it’s flaws.  Someone with the know how could re-blue the cylinder, or send it to Doug Turnbull in New York & have him re-blue it.  Priced accordingly.  Sold “AS – IS”, no returns.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
