Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/2 scale swivel barrel single shot pistol made by a gentleman in El Paso, Texas named Mr. R. L. Patton. I do not know any details about Mr. Patton, but I bought several of his pieces at the recent Tulsa Gun Show from family members. I speculate if Mr. Patton may have at one time done work making miniatures for Fred Thacker in El Paso back in the day, as the pieces all look to have some age to them. 3 1/8″ long overall with a 1 7/8″ barrel of .128 caliber. Fully functional lock, with only full cock. There is a barrel release on the bottom of the barrel lug that when pushed towards the muzzle unlocks the barrel to swivel to the left. There is a relief in the left side of the frame that lines up with the barrel making it easier to load. Yellow brass frame & grip straps. The balance of the parts are blued steel. Two piece bone grips with yellow brass escutcheons and a single screw entering from the right side. The bottom of the gripstrap scratch engraved RLP. Complete with the original rosewood hinged top case. The interior bottom is semi French fit, the bottom only lined in a red velvet. The piece shows some age, the brass with a mellow patina, and the barrel blue fading to gray/brown. This is an unusual pistol & I’ve never seen one exactly like this, miniature or full size. Price: $450.00. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
