!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a pair of flintlock dueling pistols cased with accessories made by Wilfred W. Stultz. These are the first miniatures I have ever seen by Mr. Stultz. Mr Stultz lived in Stoneville, North Carolina, & had his workshop in the rear of his home. He was active in the 1970’s, & was a very talented craftsman in making Kentucky long rifles. Each pistol is 6 1/8″ long overall with a smoothbore octagon barrel finished in the white. The barrels are drilled through to the touch holes. The front sights are short, round, flat, & made of steel finished in the white. The lock assemblies are blued, fully functional, and have both half & full cock. German silver nose caps, triggerguards, grip caps, and sideplates. One piece highly figured walnut stocks. Cased in a nicely figured walnut hinged top casing with swivel latch. The interior bottom French fit and lined in a green felt. The interior lid with a German silver plate marked “WILFRED W. STULTZ, MAKER”, in two lines. Accessories include a nickel silver powder flask with brass neck, but no charging lever, a brass combination cleaning rod/ramrod. and a German silver and brass powder measure. Mint new as made except for some minor rust pitting on the barrel tang of one pistol. From the personal miniature collection of Joel Morrow.
