Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/4 scale combination sword – wheellock gun made by Walter Agnoletto of Turin, Italy.  Fully functional & capable if firing!  7 13/16″ long overall with a 3 7/9″  part octagon part round barrel of about .070 caliber.  The overall length of the blade is 5 15/16″.  Profusely engraved steel construction with about 80% coverage.  I’m not sure this is a sword, maybe a foil, as it is round & pointed & has only the last 1 5/16″ of the barrel that is 1/2 cut-a-way that might actually cut in a slashing motion.  Looks more like a stabbing weapon to me.  The handle looks to be ebony with numerous silver pin inlays.  The top back side of the lockplate hand engraved “W. AGNOLETTO TORINO”.  The pommel is large & fluted.  Complete with the original blue leather hinged top case with two flip latches.  The interior bottom French fit & lined in red felt with a ribbon dust ledge.  The interior lid padded & lined in a red silk.  Near mint condition with no visible signs of handling except for a small piece of the ebony grip missing near the cross guard.  Beautifully made!  Featured on page 218 of the book “The Art Of Miniature Firearms”!  Stock # CK-21.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
