!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a vintage mechanical pencil that is also a tear gas and flash powder blank firing gun. 5 5/8″ long overall. The mechanical pencil works like you would expect, you twist the pointed metal piece and it advances and retracts the lead. To load the gun, first pull the hammer button back to the safety position, the “erasure” end is unscrewed, the cartridge inserted, the end screwed back in place. To fire, you flip the hammer button to the left, retract fully, then release. Years ago I fired one of these on my back porch on a dark night with a flash powder blank. It looked like a flame thrower! A ball of fire came out about 8″ in diameter and about 8′ long!!! I believe this uses a .38 S & W short blank or tear gas cartridge. As I recall, the instructions said to aim at the shoulder or hip, not the head, and after firing it, I can understand why! Stock # KD-38. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
