Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/3 scale non-functional miniature superposed shotgun made by the famous French firearms company Verney Carron of St Etienne.  Verney Carron is a French firearms manufacturing company founded in 1820 and based in Saint Etienne, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes.  They are makers of very fine high grade shotguns and rifles.  This was probably made as a giveaway for some promotion, and is the first one I have ever seen.  13 5/8″ long overall with 8 3/8″ barrels with a bore diameter of .223.  The barrels are blued.  The receiver is nickel plated and modestly engraved.  the left side of the receiver stamped “VERNEY-CARRON”.  The right side stamped “St ETIENNE”.  The trigger and triggerguard are one piece and painted black.  The forearm & buttstock are checkered walnut.  There is no buttplate, and there is a screw head showing in the middle of the butt.  It looks like that at one time there was a top break lever, but it is now missing.  The metal work otherwise is in nice condition.  The stocks show numerous dings & handling marks.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
