!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a miniature antique muzzle loading cannon by an unknown maker. Featured full page on page 288 of the book “The Art of Miniature Firearms – Centuries of Craftsmanship”. 12 1/2″ long overall with a 10 7/8″ barrel of .75 caliber. All steel construction. The carriage is painted black. The wheel spokes and rims are painted red. The barrel & outer wheels finished in the white. The barrel is bored through to the touch hole, & I’m sure this was made to shoot, probably just powder & a wad as a noise maker. No markings. There are no trunion caps or elevation adjustment device, and no provisions for them, it was made this way. Probably made in the mid to late 1800’s. Excellent condition with 99% of what is probably restored paint. The barrel & outer wheels showing a nice smooth aged gray steel patina. The caption from the book mentioned above reads “Vintage miniature black powder cannon c. 1900 by an unknown maker. It is typical of many small cannons made in that era.”. From the personal miniature collection of Joel Morrow. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
