Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a cased pair of 1/4 scale silver Colt SAAish looking revolvers by an unknown maker.  3 1/8″ long overall with 1 3/4″ barrels of .077 caliber.  The revolvers are entirely made of silver except for the walnut grips.  The grips are held in place by single screw entering from the left side, & have brass escutcheons.  The hammers pivot back & forth & the six chamber cylinders rotate.  With the hammer in the cocked position, when the trigger is pulled it releases the barrel which is hinged at the lower front & pivots downward like some early Smith & Wessons.  Both revolvers have lanyard studs with rings.  Both revolvers have a functional loading gate.  One of the revolvers has three notches cut into the right grip.  Cased together in a rosewood hinged top case with two swivel hook latches.  the interior French fit & lined in an olive green felt.  There are two empty corner compartments covered in black felt with brass knobs.  The case top is inlaid with an unmarked rectangular brass escutcheon.  These look to be production made to me, maybe a short run by a jeweler, & look to be quite old & possibly antique.  The revolvers are in excellent condition with the expected tarnish to the silver.  The case lid & bottom have self adhesive labels, but otherwise is also in excellent condition.  See photos.  Stock # JT-4.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
