!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a Flobert Model 500 antique full size European blank starter pistol. 4 5/8″ long overall with a 2 19/32″ barrel. The barrel muzzle is plugged, the .22 caliber rimfire blank cartridge vents out a hole in the top of the barrel when fired. There is a hinged breech block, and a manually operated extractor. The hammer cocks and fires, and the hammer spring is strong. Two piece grips are stamped steel with a single screw entering from the left side. The pistol is a smooth patina gray/brown with some minor pitting. The hammer, breech block, extractor, & trigger show considerable original finish. The left side of the frame stamped “D.R., JG & something else vertically in an oval, then G.M.” which I believe is the equivalent of Patented or something of the sort. These were also sold to and used by kids in the day as toy cap pistols. Mechanically excellent with no obvious flaws other that being old & used. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
