Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is an antique 1/6 scale matchlock smoothbore musket made by an unknown maker. 7 5/8 long overall with an 5 3/16″ round barrel of .142 caliber. The muzzle of the barrel with a pronounced reinforcing ring. There is no touch hole drilled into the barrel at the pan. The barrel, lock assembly, & trigger are steel that was originally finished in the white. The triggerguard & ramrod thimble are yellow brass. No markings. This musket is not functional, the hammer, pan cover, and pan side shield move back & forth, but I suspect there are no internal lock parts. The trigger is articulated, but doesn’t do anything. One piece what looks to be maple stock. The ramrod is missing. The steel parts show a mostly smooth silver/gray patina. The brass triggerguard & ramrod thimble show a nice aged patina. The stock shows a few minor handling marks. Priced accordingly. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
