!!!!!SOLD!!!!! Unknown 2mm Pinfire Six Shot Pepperbox With Ivory Grips & Case !!!!!SOLD!!!!!

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 2mm pinfire six shot single action pepperbox by an unknown maker.  2 1/2″ long with a 1 5/32″ round fluted blued steel barrel.  Three piece laminated brass frame & gripstrap.  The hammer & trigger are steel finished in the white.  Two piece ivory grips with brass escutcheons and a single blued screw entering from the left side.  The ivory with a nice aged patina & grain.  The cylinder must be manually indexed between shots.  The hammer must be cocked before firing as in all single action pistols.  The barrel must be removed to load and/or remove the spent cartridges.  This is done by removing the screw in the center of the muzzle end of the barrel, then removing the barrel.  Complete with what is probably the original hinged top walnut case with hook latch.  The interior French fit & lined in a olive green felt with a red braided border.  There is a recess for a screwdriver in the case, but alas it has been lost.  The pistol is near mint with 99% blue on the barrel & grip screw.  The brass has a nice aged patina.  The right grip has an age crack along the grain extending from the backstrap through the screw almost to the front strap.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
