Project Description

This is a 2/5 scale 1902 Luger carbine by an unknown maker cased with extra magazine and detachable shoulder stock.  Beautiful workmanship, fully functional, & obviously made by a master craftsman!  The pistol measures 6 11/16″ long overall with a 4 3/4″ barrel with a bore of .137 caliber.  11 7/8″ long overall with the stock attached.  Functional grip safety.  The finish is a high polish blue, with straw colored small parts.  Checkered walnut two piece grips with a single screw at the bottom of each side.  Checkered walnut forearm with a wedge retainer and a sling swivel.  There are two German silver escutcheons, held in place by two screws each, on each side of the forearm for the wedge to pass through.  The front sight has a serrated ramp with a dovetailed blade type front sight.  The rear barrel sight is adjustable and calibrated for 100, 200, and 300 meters.  The top of the slide marked 1902 just in front of the chamber.  The top of the toggle marked with the DWM intertwined logo.  The rear of the frame above the safety is marked GESICHERT.  The frame, barrel, and both wood magazine bottoms are serial numbered 7839.  The take down lever, frame side plate, two pieces of the toggle are marked 39.  The detachable stock does not show any numbers, has a checkered wrist, a sling swivel, and a serrated blue steel buttplate.  Near mint condition showing only very slight signs of handling.  Complete with what looks to be the original walnut hinged top key lock casing, the lid with a centered flush inlaid rectangular brass escutcheon.  The interior is French fit with an unlined bottom.  The lid is lined in a russet brown suede leather.  I sold this exact miniature about 10 years ago.  Price:  $4,750.00.
