Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/2 scale flintlock Kentucky/Pennsylvania rifle by an unknown maker. 29 9/16″ long overall with a 21 3/16″ browned octagon barrel of .165 caliber. Brass furniture & front sight. Browned steel lockplate, frizzen, hammer & top jaw. Brass pan & brass tipped ramrod. Fire blued trigger, lockplate screws, & frizzen spring screw. The balance of the screws finished in the white. There is a German silver elongated star inlaid into the cheek rest on the left side of the stock. The right side of the butt inlaid with a brass patch box, but the wood under the door has not been hollowed out to hold patches. One piece stock that looks to be mahogany with a nice cross grain pattern. This is a really good looking piece, but the lock is not functional. The wood behind the lockplate has not been relieved for any interior lock work. The lock plate, hammer, & pan are very nicely done, as in the brass furniture, barrel, & stock. Would make a great project for someone with the skills to make this a functional working miniature! Priced accordingly. Stock # PD-3. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
