!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/4 scale Guatemalan Mauser bolt action rifle by an unknown maker made to commemorate a revolution on October 20, 1944.   8 5/16″ long not counting the bayonet with a 4 9/16″ round barrel of .094 caliber.  10 1/4″ long overall with the bayonet attached.  The piece is made of machined and sheet steel parts with a blue finish, except for the bolt which was originally finished in the white.  The action is not functional, but the bolt does flip up & retract, and is spring loaded upon closing.  Adjustable rear sight.  Sling swivels with a leather sling.  Walnut stock & handguard.  The left side of the buttstock has a small steel plate held in place by four small nails that is embossed “20 DE OCTUBRE, 1944, RECUERDO A LA, REVOLUCIONARIA” in five lines.  The buttplate is stamped “HECHO EN, GUATEMALA, POR, TULIO FUENTES Y” in four lines surrounded by a square.  The right side of the buttstock is stamped “662”.  The bayonet measures 3 3/8″ long overall with a 2″ spear point blade.  The left side of the blade stamped “20 DE OCTUBRE DE 1944”.  An interesting little rifle with some obvious history!  This exact rifle featured on page 246 of the book “The Art Of Miniature Firearms, Centuries Of Craftsmanship.  Stock # JM-90.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
