Project Description

This is a 1/4 scale British Enfield percussion musket by an unknown maker, and possibly antique.  Both the North & the South imported this type musket from England during the U.S. Civil War.  13 3/8″ long overall with a 9 1/2″ round barrel.  The barrel is drilled through to the nipple.  Fully functional percussion lock with both half & full cock.  Blued steel barrel, barrel bands, sling swivels, lock assembly, ramrod, & screws.  Brass triggerguard and buttplate.  One piece walnut stock.  The rear of the lockplate is stamped with a crown.  The buttplate is stamped with the number 5.  I have two more of these identical to this one except one is stamped 11 and the other 51 on the buttplate.  Seems there may have been quite a run of these at some time!  Buy one, or buy all three and have a neat display of the three of them with the muzzles stacked together in the customary camp triangle.  They all look to be in excellent condition with only minor signs of handling.  Three available.  Price Reduced: $650.00/each.  Or buy all three for $1,750.00.
