Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/4 scale all metal Scottish flintlock rams horn sash pistol by an unknown maker.  4 1/16″ long overall with a 2 5/8″ barrel that is fluted at the breech, transitioning to round in the middle, then to octagon with a flared muzzle.  The barrel is very nicely engraved.  The barrel, ramrod, frizzen spring, hammer screw, top jaw screw, and belt or sash hook are charcoal blued.  The stock looks to be German silver.  The lockplate, hammer, top jaw, pan, & frizzen are steel finished in the white.  The stock, hammer, frizzen, lockplate, and belt hook are elaborately engraved.  There are two raised gold ovals set into the grip, one on each side.  The ramrod and vent pick are beautifully turned with engraved ends.  The ball trigger also engraved.  The hammer has both half & full cock.  The barrel is not drilled through to the touch hole, which makes me think this piece is British or European.  The vent pick is the knob between the rams horns on the butt & unscrews for use.  Really nice condition with about 80% original charcoal blue finish, most of the loss being on the belt hook.  A beautiful little flintlock pistol!  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
