!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/4 scale U.S. Model 1842 H. Aston single shot martial percussion pistol by Fred Thacker in El Paso, Texas.  This exact miniature pictured on page 330 of Arthur Brown’s book Miniature Guns of Mexico!  4″ long overall with a 2 5/16″ round smoothbore barrel of .140 caliber.  Steel barrel, lockplate, nipple boss, ramrod, ramrod swivel, & screws finished in the white.  Blued steel hammer, trigger, & nipple.  Brass furniture.  Walnut one piece stock.  The hammer spur is checkered & the hammer has both half & full cock.  The barrel is bored through to the touch hole.  No markings.  Complete with a glass topped puzzle box mahogany case.  The interior French fit & lined in red felt.  Excellent near mint condition.  A beautiful little pistol seldom seen in miniature.  Stock # BF-40.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
