Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/3 scale Joyner of London flintlock single shot boxlock Queen Anne pistol with screw off barrel made by master miniature maker Andrew Dyson of England.  This exact miniature pictured on page 137 of the book, The Art of Miniature Firearms – Centuries of Craftsmanship.  3″ long overall with a 31/32″ barrel of .158 caliber.  The frame, tangs, pan, and barrel are made of yellow brass.  The hammer assembly, frizzen assembly, triggerguard, trigger, and screws are charcoal blued steel.  The frame and upper tang are engraved in scrolls & vines with border details.  The right side of the frame marked “LONDON”, the left side marked “JOYNER”.  The sides of the hammer and the triggerguard also engraved.  One piece slab sided walnut grip, profusely inlaid with silver wire & studs.  The hammer has both half and full cock.  The barrel is bored through to the touch hole.  There is some darkening at the seams on the left side of the frame, and someone has tried to clean it, polishing up the brass in the surrounding area.  Otherwise, the piece is in excellent condition.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
