Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/3 scale Frank Wesson swivel barrel derringer with retractable dagger by an unknown maker.  1 13/16″ long overall with 31/32″ barrels.  The barrels & frame are cast silver, the hammer, trigger, barrel release, dagger, & screws are steel.  Chambered for the 2mm thick rim rimfire cartridge.  The hammer spur & trigger front are serrated, the hammer with full cock only.  Both barrels with a small blade type front sight.  The top of one barrel marked “F ANK WESSON”, & it looks like the markings were in the casting, not stamped after the fact as the letter “A” is missing from Frank.   The dagger is a four sided spike, & lock into place when extended.  A small button at teh bottom rear of the barrel must be pushed to retract the blade.  The two piece grips with brass escutcheons look to be walnut with a dark ebony like stain, and are held in place by a single screw entering from the left side.  The piece is well made except for some porosity to the silver barrel casting on the side with the letters.  This frame & barrels have tarnished black, or maybe been made that way purposefully, except for one side of the barrels.  The steel parts are finished in the white and are near mint.  With a good cleaning & polishing, it should be an attractive piece.  Stock # BK-80.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
