!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/2 scale D. Egg of London single shot flintlock pistol with screw off barrel. 3 3/8″ long overall with a 3/4″ blued smoothbore barrel. The frame and grip tangs are yellow brass. The balance of the parts are highly polished charcoal blued steel except for the top jaw screw which is finished in the white. The right side of the frame marked “D. EGG” in an oval with some engraving. The left side marked “LONDON” in an oval with some engraving. The bottom front of the frame stamped with two proof marks. The hammer has full cock only. There is a sliding safety that should lock the frizzen in place, but the hole was never drilled into the frizzen for the pin. The barrel is drilled through to the touch hole. One piece slab sided walnut grip. The barrel shows about 75% original blue, the balance turning a smooth patina gray/brown. The balance of the blued parts show 95+% original blue. The frame is a pleasing mellow brown mustard patina. The grip excellent, but showing some minor bruising on the right side. A really neat little flintlock pistol that is very well made & finished.!!!!!SOLD!!!!!
