!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 47% scale Colt Single Action Army revolver with 5 1/2″ barrel made by Uberti in Italy. Very similar to the U.S. Historical Society “Presidential Edition” Colt SAA except for the shorter 5 1/2″ barrel, & is most likely a prototype for them with a shorter barrel, since it does not have the typical Uberti markings on the bottom of the barrel, and does have the Colt barrel address on top of the barrel. 5 1/8″ long overall with a 2 9/16″ rifled barrel of .21 caliber. This piece is beautifully and extensively factory engraved with scroll & vine and several different border & fill patterns. The frame, backstrap, triggerguard, barrel, and front sight are silver plated. The ejector rod housing, ejector rod, cylinder, hammer, trigger, & screws are gold plated. One piece smooth ivory grip showing some nice grain & just a little age patina. Black powder frame with the round “Bullseye” ejector rod button, the early “Pinched Frame” topstrap, and the cylinder pin held in place by a screw. The left front of the frame stamped with the patent dates in two lines. The left rear of the triggerguard stamped with the “.45 CAL” markings. Checkered hammer spur. Early serial number 657 stamped into the frame, triggerguard, backstrap, the rear of the cylinder, & the loading gate hinge. Only really early Uberti Colt SAA’s had the serial number stamped into the rear of the cylinder! NO Uberti markings stamped into the bottom of the barrel! Complete with a nice maple hinged top case with push button latch. The interior bottom semi French fit & lined in an aqua green felt. The interior top lined in the same felt & has the paper Colt loading instructions label. The revolver is in near mint condition as is the case.
