Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 47% scale black double holster miniature gunbelt rig along with 2 Uberti Colt single action army revolvers with 7 1/2″ barrels made by Uberti in Italy with consecutive serial #’s 1832 & 1833, both with ivory grips made by master ivory carver Dennis Holland of Lubbock, Texas. A really nice set the likes of which are rarely seen or offered for sale!
The two revolvers are black blue with case colored frames, loading gates, & hammers. Black powder frames with the early pinched frame topstraps, round bullseye ejector rod buttons, and the cylinder pins retained by screws. Consecutive serial numbers 1832 & 1833 stamped into the front bottoms of the frames & triggerguards. 832 & 833 stamped into the bottoms of the gripstraps. 32 & 33 stamped into the loading gate hinges. The barrels with the proper one line italics Colt barrel address “COLT’S PT. F.A. CO., HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.”. The left front of the frames with the two line patent dates “-PAT. JULY 25, 1871-, -JULY 2, 1872-“. The left rear of the triggerguards stamped “.45 CAL.”. The bottoms of the barrels stamped with Uberti’s mark “A. UBERTI-ITALY”. Blued blade front sights. The hammers have checkered spurs, both half & full cock, and the proper four clicks when the hammers are cocked. Both revolvers with one piece ivory grips made by master ivory carver Dennis Holland of Lubbock, Texas. The grips with a nice grain & aged patina. One grip shows some normal minor hairline age cracks. Both revolvers are in near mint new condition with little to no evidence of handling, as is the gunbelt. It is a rare thing these days to find a consecutively numbered pair, especially with the proper one line barrel addresses & ivory grips!
The belt measures 23 1/4″ long. The belt & single loop holsters are profusely & expertly hand carved and tooled. The back of the belt tongue stamped “IMA DR201”. The stitching is the proper scale. Both holsters and the belt are fully lined. There are 13 cartridge loops on the gunbelt containing 13 dummy cartridges with brass cases, aluminum bullets, and “W-W .45 COLT” headstamps. This is a miniature of a fancy drop Buscadero rig gunbelt. Sterling silver buckle with stamped engraving like details. Really nice, high quality work! !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
