Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 47% scale Winchester 1866 carbine made by Uberti in Italy.  18 3/4″ long overall with a 9″ rifled round barrel of .21 caliber.  These are often referred to as the Winchester “Yellow Boy” carbines because of their brass receiver, sideplates, and buttplate.  Exceptional highly figured French walnut buttstock and forearm with high gloss varnished finish.  Gold plated brass receiver, sideplates, buttplate and cleaning rod trapdoor.  High polish blue steel barrel, magazine, lever, bands, etc.  The carbine buttplate with the sliding trapdoor for a cleaning rod (cleaning rod not included).  The hammer, lever, & trigger are case colored, by Doug Turnbull in New York.  The hammer spur finely checkered.  Serial number “11” stamped into the lower tang.  No Uberti markings.  The top of the barrel marked with the proper Winchester two line barrel address.  The rear sight is a standard 1866 carbine two leaf flip type.  Full magazine & carbine buttplate. Beautiful craftsmanship and typical Uberti high quality.  Near mint new condition with just a few small handling marks on the stock, I’d call it 99%.  Only a handful of these have the case colored parts, the proper barrel address, & no Uberti markings.  Stock # RC-38.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
