Project Description
This is a 47% scale Winchester 1866 carbine made by Uberti in Italy. 18 3/4″ long overall with a 9″ rifled round barrel of .21 caliber. These are often referred to as the Winchester “Yellow Boy” carbines because of their brass receiver, sideplates, and buttplate. Walnut buttstock and forearm with high gloss varnished finish. Gold plated brass receiver, sideplates, buttplate and cleaning rod trapdoor. High polish blue steel barrel, magazine, lever, bands, etc. The carbine buttplate with the sliding trapdoor for a cleaning rod (cleaning rod not included). The hammer sides polished in the white, the hammer spur finely checkered. Serial number “241” stamped into the lower tang. “A. Uberti – Italy” stamped into the top of the barrel ahead of the rear sight. The top of the barrel laser engraved with the barrel address “HENRY’S-PATENT-OCT-16, 1860; KING’S-PATENT-MARCH 29, 1866”. The rear sight is a standard 1866 carbine two leaf flip type. Full magazine. straight wrist, & carbine buttplate. Beautiful craftsmanship and typical Uberti high quality. Near mint new condition with the exception of a few minor blemishes on the stocks, see photos, I’d call it 98%. Priced accordingly: $1,750.00.
