Project Description

This is a 47% scale miniature Colt 1873 Single Action Army “Sheriff’s Model” revolver with 3″ barrel.  Also known as the “Peacemaker” and the “Frontier six Shooter”.  Fully functional, but non-firing.  4″ long overall with a 1 3/8″ .21 caliber rifled barrel.  Made by Uberti in Italy.  I had master ivory grip carver & scrimshaw artist Dennis Holland of Texas make a custom ivory high relief carved “Gambler’s” grip for this piece showing dice on the right side (5 & 2) and cards on the left side, in color (red 8 diamonds, black 8 clubs, red Ace hearts, black Ace clubs, black Ace Spades) .   The ivory has a nice distinctive & obvious grain with just a touch of color.  The caliber marking 45 CAL is stamped on the left rear side of the triggerguard.  Two patent dates stamped on the left front of the frame.  “A. UBERTI – ITALY” stamped into the bottom of the barrel.  The  serial number 1846 is stamped into the bottom of the frame & triggerguard.  846 is stamped into the bottom of the backstrap.  46 is stamped into the loading gate hinge.  Beautiful full nickel finish.  Checkered hammer spur.  Blade type front sight.  Black powder frame with no ejector rod or housing, and a screw retaining the cylinder pin.  Includes a beautiful pipe type black leather covered casing with flip latch.  The interior French fit & lined in a medium dark gray suede.  Mint new condition.  This is a real show piece!  Price:  $1,250.00.
