Project Description

This is a 47% scale miniature Colt single action army revolver Model of 1873 with 5 1/2 inch barrel made by Uberti in Italy.  Also known as the “Peacemaker” and “Frontier Six Shooter”.  Fully functional, but non-firing.  5 1/8″ long overall with a 2 9/16″ rifled barrel of .21 caliber. Features include charcoal blue & case colored finish, black powder frame with the round “Bullseye”  ejector rod button, cylinder pin retained by a screw, and the early “Pinched Frame” topstrap.  The triggerguard is stamped 45 CAL on the left side just behind the trigger.  The frame is not stamped with the two patent dates on the left side of the frame, which is normal & correct for very early production Uberti Colt SAA’s. Extremely early serial number 22 stamped into the frame, trigger guard, the bottom of the backstrap, the rear of the cylinder, & the loading gate hinge.  The bottom of the barrel stamped with the early “A. UBERTI FECIT” marking.  Checkered hammer spur.  Nickel silver blade type front sight.  Straight grained one piece walnut grip with a varnished finish.    I think this is the earliest Uberti Colt SAA that I have ever seen!  This piece is in mint new condition.  Price:  $900.00.
