Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 47% scale miniature Colt single action army revolver Model of 1873 with 5 1/2 inch barrel made by Uberti in Italy.  Also known as the “Peacemaker” and “Frontier Six Shooter”.  Fully functional, but non-firing.  5 1/8″ long overall with a 2 9/16″ rifled barrel of .21 caliber. Features include beautiful factory hand engraving with about 40% coverage, beautiful gold wire inlaid borders and scrolls, charcoal blue & case colored finish, black powder frame with the round “Bullseye”  ejector rod button, cylinder pin retained by a screw.  Unlike most of the early Uberti miniature Colt SAA’s, this does not have the early “Pinched Frame”  topstrap, it has the later top strap usually seen on the smokeless powder frame revolvers.  This is one the of only a handful of these I have ever seen in over 25 years, and yes, Colt did make Colt SAA’s exactly like this!   The triggerguard is stamped 45 CAL on the left side just behind the trigger. The frame stamped with the two patent dates on the left side. Very early serial number 253 stamped into the frame, trigger guard, the bottom of the backstrap, and the loading gate hinge. The bottom of the barrel roll stamped with the early Uberti marking “A. UBERTI FECIT”.  Checkered hammer spur.  Nickel silver blade type front sight.  Beautifully figured one piece French walnut grip with a high gloss varnish finish.    This piece is in mint condition.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
