Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 47% scale miniature Colt Single Action Army revolver model of 1873 with 7 1/2″ barrel. Also known as the “Peacemaker” and the “Frontier six Shooter”.  Fully functional, but non-firing. 6 1/8″ long overall with a 3 7/16″ .21 caliber rifled barrel with no factory plug.  Made by Uberti in Italy. The top of the barrel factory roll stamped with the proper Colt italics one line barrel address, and the barrel does not have the usual Uberti stamped markings on the bottom.  The caliber marking 45 CAL is stamped on the left rear side of the triggerguard, two patent dates stamped on the left front of the frame.  The serial number BO33 is stamped on the frame, triggerguard, & backstrap.  33 is stamped into the loading gate hinge. Finished in the white except for the blued barrel.  Checkered hammer spur.  Blued blade type front sight.  Blackpowder frame with round “Bullseye” ejector rod button and the cylinder pin retained by a screw. No grip.  Fully functional, but non-firing.  These were special ordered from Uberti in the white with no grips to be finished here in U.S., and actually cost more than a finished miniature Colt SAA!  None of the parts have been hardened, so they will be easier to engrave.  If you’ve ever wanted to build your dream miniature Colt SAA, or exactly copy your full size SAA, here’s the chassis to build it on!  This exact miniature was in the shop of engraver Tom Hicks when he passed away.  Most of the pre engraving polishing has already been done except for the barrel.  A really nice project for an engraver to showcase his talents.  I do have a large number of Uberti SAA wood grips that have been taken off & replaced with ivory, & will include one with purchase, though you may have to do some fitting to make it fit correctly.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
