This is a 47% scale Colt 1861 Navy revolver made by Uberti in Italy for the United States Historical Society. Fully functional, but non-firing. 6 1/8″ long overall with a 3 1/2″ long rifled barrel. This revolver has the two extra screws, one on each side of the frame, for attaching the detachable shoulder stock. Standard blue and case colored finish. Serial # 463 is stamped into the frame, barrel, triggerguard, cylinder, and backstrap. The cylinder is roll engraved with the Ormsby naval cylinder scene. The triggerguard stamped 36 CAL on the left side just at the rear of the trigger. The top of the barrel factory roll stamped with the proper Colt barrel address. Blade type front sight. Checkered hammer spur. Nicely figured one piece walnut grip. Really nice dark case colors with lots of blues & purples! This is a U.S. Historical Society miniature as evidenced by the factory barrel address, no Uberti markings, and the serial number stamped into the side of the cylinder. The standard Uberti production pieces never had the cylinder serial numbered, had no barrel address, & had the Uberti roll stamped markings on the bottom of the barrel underneath the loading lever. The previous owner of this piece kept the USHS shoulder stock & case to put on his super rare Uberti 1851 Navy with the 4 screw frame. Price: $750.00.
