!!!!!PRICE REDUCED!!!!! U. S. Miniatures, Ltd. Unique Pair Of 1/3 Scale Remington No. 1 Rolling Block Sporting Rifles As Used In Their Advertising, One Exhibition Grade, One Standard Grade, With Documentation

!!!!!PRICE REDUCED!!!!!  This is the exact pair of 1/3 scale Remington No. 1 rolling block sporting rifles made by U.S. Miniatures, Ltd. and used in their advertising back in the 1980’s!  Each rifle is 13 3/4″ long overall with a 9 1/4″ rifled octagon barrel.

The standard rifle has a blued barrel, sights, trigger, buttplate, & screws.  The frame, hammer, rolling block, & triggerguard are case colored.  Two piece walnut buttstock & forearm.  The top of the barrel marked “E. REMINGTON & SON . ILION . N.Y.”.  The serial # “005” stamped into the triggerguard rear tang.  Checkered hammer spur & rolling block ear.  Dovetailed sights, the rear a step adjustable buckhorn style, the front with a blue base & blade finished in the white.

The Exhibition grade rifle is finished in the white.  The two piece buttstock & forearm are select highly figured walnut.  This rifle is beautifully hand engraved with 100% receiver coverage & additional engraving on the rear of the barrel, triggerguard, rolling block, hammer, buttplate, & forearm escutcheon.  There is no serial number, & no barrel address.  I think this is the first prototype of the exhibition grade rifle, andf may in fact be the only exhibition rifle U. S. Miniatures made.  The bottom of the triggerguard just in front of the trigger bow hand engraved “COLET”, which I assume is the last name of the engraver.  You can see this very easily in the photo on the cover of the sales brochure!

Includes 3 dummy cartridges and a nice walnut hinged top case with 2 slide latches.  The interior French fit & lined in black felt.  Also includes an original advertising brochure, & the original parts list/disassembly/reassembly instructions.

These rifles were made & advertised in the early to mid 1980’s.  U.S. Miniatures, Ltd.  spent a ton of money advertising in gun periodicals of the time, made about 12 rifles including these 2, then went belly up!  Original 1980’s retail price for the standard model was $1,495.00, and $2,995.00 for the exhibition grade model.  I have always been a huge fan of Remington rifles & this set has been in my small personal miniature firearms collection for many years.  The set was previously in the Joel E. Morrow collection.  A unique one of a kind set of fine miniature Remington No. 1 sporting rifles!!!  The rifles are both in near mint condition showing only the most minor signs of handling.  This has to be one of the greatest miniatures sets in the world considering the rarity, quality, very limited production, & original factory paperwork!      Price Reduced:  $3,950.00.
