Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a “Classic Edition” United States Historical Society 47% scale miniature Colt 1860 Army revolvers. Fully functional, but non-firing. Charcoal blue and case colored finish with one piece walnut grip. Complete with the original USHS mahogany casing with red felt lining and Colt logo stamped into the right front corner of the lid. The inside of the case has a Colt pin installed that is not original. Factory roll marked barrel address, .44 Cal marked triggerguard, roll stamped cylinder with the Ormsby naval scene. Serial number 57 stamped into the bottom of the barrel lug, the bottom front of the frame, the bottom front of the triggerguard, the bottom of the backstrap, and the side of the cylinder. These miniatures were made by Uberti for the USHS under license from Colt in the mid 80’s. They were a limited edition of 1500. Unlike most the other Uberti miniatures Colt revolvers which were made until about 2008, these miniature 1860 Colt revolvers have not been made in almost 30 years. Mechanically excellent. This one has condition issues. Something has happened to the blue finish. Most of the blue on the cylinder is gone, as is a large part of the blue on the barrel and backstrap. The metal where the blue is missing is fairly smooth in most places, except on the muzzle end of the barrel which is kinda rough. The lever, frame, and hammer have nearly all of their bright case colors. The brass triggerguard is mint with a nice patina. The grip is also mint. I think if this doesn’t sell, at some point I will age it down and make a period looking aged used piece out of it. Would make a good project for someone with the skills to restore it. Sold as a project, “AS – IS”, no returns. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
