Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 47% Colt 1851 Navy revolver as issued by the United States Historical Society back in the 80’s.  This miniature is the “Classic Edition” and was made by Uberti under license from Colt for the USHS.  Fully functional, but non-firing.  Although Uberti made Colt 51 Navy miniatures for sale outside of the USHS, they didn’t have the roll stamped Colt barrel address & had the Uberti markings on the bottom of the barrel.  6 1/4″ long overall with a 3 1/2″ octagon rifled barrel of .17 caliber.  The frame, hammer, rammer, and loading lever are case colored.  The balance of the steel parts are charcoal blue.  Brass triggerguard, backstrap, and bead front sight are just starting to show a touch of age patina.  The top of the barrel roll stamped with the Colt barrel address.  The front left of the frame marked COLT’S PATENT in two lines.  36 CAL marked at the left rear of the triggerguard.  The cylinder roll stamped with the Ormsby naval battle scene.  Serial number 520 stamped into the barrel lug, frame, triggerguard, backstrap, and cylinder.  Checkered hammer spur & loading lever latch.  The hammer has both half & full cock.  Complete with a non original maple hinged top case, the interior English fit & lined in a green felt.   Accessories include a brass powder flask, brass bullet mold which cast both a round & conical ball, green label Eley cap tin with a nice quantity of cylindrical brass beads that resemble percussion caps, a dummy paper cartridge packet, a nice quantity of .18 caliber round lead balls in the lidded compartment, and the Colt instructions label on the interior lid.  Near mint condition with only the right side of the hammer having some minor scratches where it enters the frame.  Stock # JT-40.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
