Project Description

!!!!!Retunred To Consignor!!!!!  This is a 1/5 scale Colt 1911 semi-automatic pistol by the renown Tom P. Weston of Mexico City, Mexico.  This one is much smaller than normal, & does not shoot the usual 2mm thick rim rimfire cartridge.  Might shoot a cap of some sort.  Probably made somewhere around the mid 1940’s to the mid 1970’s.  These were supposedly made by prisoners in some jail or prison in Mexico City.  1 13/16″ long with a 3/4″ barrel of about .050 caliber.  The hammer can be cocked manually, and will also cock when the slide is retracted.  To shoot these, the trigger is actually the grip safety, which when depressed drops the hammer.  Actually, it works easier if you press up on the beaver tail on the grip safety.  Yellow brass construction except for the screws & rivets which are steel finished in the white.  The grips are mother of pearl.  The grips are held in place by four brass pins, two on each side.  The lower part of the mainspring housing is checkered.  The rear sides of the slide are serrated.  There is a brass lanyard loop at the rear just under the hammer.  Although a little out of proportion, these are very collectible and highly sought after.  This is the first of this tiny size I have ever seen.  This miniature has a fair amount of scratches & scuffs.  Looks like it may have been on someone’s key ring or watch chain for a few years!  Stock # MG-02.    !!!!!Returned To Consignor!!!!!
