Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This here is a rare bird indeed!  This is a sterling silver BelMex single shot pistol made by the legendary Tom P. Weston of Mexico City, Mexico back in the early 1960’s.  What makes this piece doubly rare is the frame and barrel are sterling silver, with gold plated steel hammer, trigger, pins, and grip screw, and it is chambered for 2mm pinfire, not the usual 2mm rimfire or 3mm centerfire.  2 5/16″ long overall with a 1 3/8″ round barrel.  Beautiful two piece mother of pearl grips with brass escutcheons and a single screw entering from the left side.  The hammer has both half and full cock.  Complete with the original deluxe beveled glass topped mahogany case.  The case interior lined in red kid goat leather.  Accessories include a checkered sterling silver handled brass cleaning rod and a rectangular brass lift top container with brass knob that contains a number of 2mm pinfire blank cartridges.  The bottom of the case has the typical brass with red enamel Weston oval tag, and a sticker from a previous owner (see photo).  Near mint new as made condition, the silver showing the expected tarnish from age.  I sold this exact miniature about 10 – 15 years ago!  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
