!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a full size Hopkins & Allen “Parrot Head” derringer made by the famous Tom P. Weston of Mexico City, Mexico, probably made in the mid 1940’s to mid 1970’s. 3 7/16″ long overall with a 1 3/4″ smoothbore barrel chambered for the 4mm rimfire short or long cartridge. This piece is a beautiful fire blued “blue” steel. Highly figured rosewood two piece grips with brass escutcheons and a single screw entering from the left side. The left side of the barrel nicely hand engraved “HOPKINS & ALLEN ARMS CO., NORWICH CONN. U.S.A.” in two lines with borders. The left side of the frame modestly engraved in vine & scroll with borders. The right side of the frame & barrel also modestly engraved in vine & scroll with borders. Complete with the original Weston beveled glass topped mahogany puzzle box case. The interior French fit & lined in red pebble grain leather. There is a rectangular wood block in the lower left corner with holes to hold three 4mm rimfire long cartridges, which are included. The bottom of the case with the usual oval brass with red enamel Weston tag. Mechanically perfect. Excellent near mint overall condition except for some minor scratches to the blue finish where the trigger enters the frame. These full size Weston pistols are extremely rare, this is only the second I have ever seen in 30 years. Stock # KB-07. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
