Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/3 scale Colt third model Dragoon percussion revolver made by Tom Weston of Mexico City, Mexico, probably back in the 1950’s.  5 3/8″ long overall with a 2 3/4″ long part octagon part round barrel of about .165 caliber.  Fully functional.  Beautiful highly polished fire blue finished steel parts.  Yellow brass triggerguard and backstrap with a nice pleasing aged patina.  One piece walnut grip.  No visible markings, so it’s possible that this may be a Fred Thacker of El Paso, Texas, as he used some of the same craftsmen as Weston.  I removed the grip to check for markings, but there were none.  Complete with the original Weston hinged top mahogany casing with push button latch.  This is the first one of these I have ever seen!  Mint condition except for some minuscule drag marks on the cylinder at the beginning of the cylinder stop approaches & some slight wear on the loading rammer where it enters the frame.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
