Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/2 scale BelMex 2mm rimfire single shot pistol by the legendary Tom P. Weston of Mexico City, Mexico, probably made from the late 1940’s to early 1960’s. 2 3/16″ long overall with a 1 1/4″ barrel of about .075 caliber. Fire blue finish. Two piece mother of pearl grips with yellow brass escutcheons and a single screw entering from the left side. The bottom of the butt has a lanyard ring. Serrated trigger front and hammer spur. Complete with the original Weston hinged top clamshell cardboard box with push button latch. The outside of the box covered in red felt. The interior bottom lined in a dark green velour with 2 loops, one for the barrel and one for the included pill capsule of 10 2mm rimfire blank cartridges. The interior lid lined in an off white silk, and marked “”MODELO” “BELMEX”, WESTON REFORMA, REFORMA 312-1, MEXICO, 6 d. f., 2MM – RIM FIRE” in 5 lines. Also includes the original ivory handle blue steel cleaning rod with yellow brass ferrule. The pistol shows 98 – 99% strong original fire blue, and shows little sign of having been shot. There is one small pin head size blemish on the left top edge of the barrel, and a tiny chip out of the right grip on the back bottom corner. The box shows some minor wear, mostly to the edges and corners, and the interior lid label shows some staining. I have not seen this particular lid label before. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
