!!!!!ON HOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/4 scale “Southener” single shot pistol or derringer by the legendary Tom P. Weston of Mexico City, Mexico, probably made from the mid 1940’s to the mid 1960’s.  1 7/8″ long overall with a 1″ octagon barrel of .125 caliber.  Chambered for the 2mm thick rim rimfire cartridge.  Blue steel barrel, hammer, trigger, & screws.  Brass frame, backstrap, & front sight.  Finely checkered hammer spur, the hammer with both half & full cock.  The top of the barrel expertly hand engraved “SOUTHENER”.  The left side of the barrel also similarly engraved “MERRIMACK ARMS & MFG CO, NEWBURYPORT MASS., PATENTED APRIL 9, 1867” in three lines.  Two piece walnut grips with brass escutcheons and a single screw on each side.  Complete with the original Weston beveled glass topped mahogany puzzle box case.  The interior French fit & lined in red leather, the recessed areas for the pistol & accessories bordered with a red cord.  Accessories include a walnut handled blue steel cleaning/extractor rod with brass ferrule and a rectangular brass lift top box with brass knob that contains 12 2mm thick rim blank cartridges.  The bottom of the case has the typical Weston oval brass with red enamel tag.  The Excellent near mint condition.  This is only the second one of these I have ever seen in 1/4 scale!  Stock # KB-05.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
