!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/4 scale Remington rolling block saddle ring carbine made by Tom P. Weston of Mexico City, Mexico circa 1956. 7 3/4″ long overall with a 4″ round barrel. This piece is fully functional & shoots the proprietary Weston 3mm centerfire blank cartridges. Beautiful fire blue finished steel except for the hammer & breach block which are case colored. Dovetailed windage adjustable front sight. Two leaf flip carbine rear sight. The saddle ring bar & saddle ring on the left side. Carbine type buttplate. The upper stock tang engraved “REMINGTONS ILION N.Y. U.S.A, PAT MAY 3 & NOV 13TH 1864, APRIL 17TH, 1866”, in two lines. The hammer has both half & full cock. The hammer spur & rolling block thumb piece both checkered. Rosewood stock & forearm. Complete with the original Weston deluxe glass topped mahogany puzzle box case. The case interior lined in a purple felt with an orange felt edging. Accessories include a walnut handled blue cleaning/ejector rod & two blued rectangular lift top tins with brass top knobs. One tin with six of the Weston 3mm centerfire blank cartridges, which are not guaranteed to still shoot. When the side piece is removed to remove the glass, you can see the markings “CIRCA JULY 1956”. The case bottom has the typical Weston oval brass with red enamel tag. I have never seen one of these in 3mm centerfire before! Near mint condition, showing some minor signs of having been fired at the breech & 97% blue. The only appreciable blue loss on the buttplate.
