Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/4 scale Colt 1911 semi-automatic pistol by the renown Tom P. Weston of Mexico City, Mexico.  Probably made somewhere around the mid 1940’s to the mid 1960’s.  These were supposedly made by prisoners in some jail or prison in Mexico City.  2 5/16″ long with a 1 3/16″ barrel of about .124 caliber.  These shoot, single shot, the 2mm thick rim rimfire blank cartridges.  The hammer can be cocked manually, and will also cock when the slide is retracted.  To shoot these, the trigger is actually the grip safety, which when depressed drops the hammer.  Yellow brass construction except for the screws & rivets which are steel finished in the white, and the grips which are mother of pearl.  The grips are held in place by four brass pins, two on each side.  The lower part of the mainspring housing is checkered.  The rear sides of the slide are serrated.  There is a brass lanyard loop at the rear just under the hammer.  Although a little out of proportion, these are very collectible and highly sought after.  One recently sold at auction for $900.00!  This one is priced much more reasonably!  Price:  $450.00.  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
