!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/2 scale Remington Elliott single shot “Mississippi” derringer by Tom Weston of Mexico City, Mexico.  Probably made in the late 1940’s or 1950’s.  2 7/16″ long overall with a 1 1/4″ rifled barrel of .178 caliber, & chambered for the 4mm rimfire cartridge.  Beautiful highly polished blue finish.  Yellow brass bead front sight.  Two piece ivory grips with yellow brass escutcheons, and a single screw entering from the right side.  The top of the barrel marked “REMINGTONS. ILION. N.Y., ELLIOTT. PAT. AUG. 27. 1867” in two lines.  Complete with the original Weston deluxe mahogany beveled glass topped case, the bottom interior semi-French fit and lined in red kid skin leather.  The bottom of the case with the red enamel on yellow brass “WESTON, MEXICO, D.F.” tag.  The case interior has six brass cartridge holders, and includes one fired case and five live blank rounds.  The miniature derringer is in beautiful mint condition.  The case shows some handling wear and a scratch on the glass.  Extremely rare!  This is the first one of these I have ever seen, or had the pleasure to offer for sale!  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
