!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/2 scale Hopkins & Allen “Parrot Head” derringer made by Tom P. Weston in Mexico City, Mexico, probably in the mid 1940’s to mid 1960’s. Fully functional and shoots the 2mm rim fire cartridge. 1 3/4″ long overall with a 7/8″ smoothbore barrel of about .085 caliber. The steel parts are nickel plated except for the barrel release, trigger, & screws which are charcoal blued. Both sides of the barrel & frame are nicely engraved with border detailing and scrolls. The tip of the trigger is serrated. There is a button on the left rear of the frame that when pushed forward releases the barrel to pop up for loading. Two piece mother of pearl grips with brass escutcheons and a single screw entering from the left side. The left side of the barrel hand engraved with the Hopkins & Allen barrel address. Complete with the original deluxe beveled glass topped mahogany case. The interior French fit & lined in a dark green felt with lighter green border edgings. Accessories include an ivory handled blued cleaning/extractor rod with a brass ferrule, a round steel lift top tin which contains a number of 2mm rimfire blank cartridges, and a twisted wire handled bristle bore cleaning brush. The bottom of the case has the Weston oval brass tag with red enamel. The pistol & case are both in near mint new condition showing only the most minor signs of handling wear. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
