Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a beautiful true 50% or 1/2 scale Colt single action army revolver by Tom P. Weston of Mexico City. Supposedly Weston only made about 30 Colt SAA revolvers, yet this one is serial # 46. Unlike all the other Weston Colt SAA’s I have seen that were chambered in either .22 short or 4mm rimfire, this miniature Weston Colt SAA is centerfire, & a .22 short cartridge will not fit into the cylinder. 6 1/2″ long overall with a 3 3/4″ rifled barrel of .217 caliber. Beautiful highly polished blue barrel, ejector rod housing, ejector rod, triggerguard, backstrap, cylinder, cylinder pin, & screws. wner.Case colored frame, loading gate, & hammer. The top of the barrel marked with the Colt one line barrel address “COLT’S PT. F.A.MFG. CO., HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.”. The left side of the frame hand engraved with the Colt patent dates in three lines “PAT. SEPT. 19, 1871., ” July 2, 72, ” JAN. 19, 75.”. The serial number “46” stamped into the bottom front of the frame, the bottom front of the triggerguard, and the bottom of the backstrap. The topstrap has the later sighting notch at the very rear. Checkered hammer spur. Black powder frame, but has the later oval ejector rod button and a screw retaining the cylinder pin. Blued blade type front sight. The hammer has the typical four clicks when you cock it slowly. One piece ivory grip with high relief carving on the left side of the typical Mexican eagle on cactus with a snake in it’s beak. Complete with a walnut hinged top case with push button latch. The case interior is lined in burgundy felt. The revolver is in excellent near mint condition, I’d call it 98%, just showing traces of wear to the sharp edges & some freckling on the backstrap. The case is also near mint with interior two lidded compartments & a wood block holding 21 .22 short rimfire cartridges. Accessories include two walnut handled screwdrivers with brass ferrules and steel blades finished in the white, a five piece brass cleaning rod kit with walnut handle that has both a jagged end and a slotted end, and a brass two piece oiler. Stock # RC-8. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
