Project Description

!!!!!SOLD!!!!!  This is a 1/2 scale Colt “Baby” Paterson black powder percussion five shot revolver complete with the original accessories made by the legendary Tom P. Weston of Mexico City, Mexico circa 1946 – 1960.  This is a very early example as evidenced by the green print on brass Weston label tag affixed to the inside of the lid.  The revolver is 3 1/8″ long overall with a 1 9/16″ octagon barrel of .118 caliber.  High polish bright blue finished steel except for the screws which look to have been finished in the white.  The top of the barrel engraved with the Patent Arms Paterson N.J. Colt’s Pt. barrel address.  One piece rosewood grip.  Fully functional and fireable given the proper caps, powder charge, and lead projectiles.  Accessories include an extra cylinder; a functional bullet mold with sprue cutter, rosewood handles, and casting a single round ball; the functional combination tool which is a screwdriver, loading lever, nipple wrench, and nipple pick; a rosewood handled cleaning rod; a functional five spout powder flask with the ball dropper in the bottom, and a functional brass capper with embossed lid.  All the above cased together in a nice walnut hinged top casing with push button latch.  The interior French fit and covered in a russet brown felt.  The case lid inlaid with an ivory escutcheon that is rectangular with scalloped corners.  Excellent condition showing just some minor handling marks, a drag mark on the cylinder, and a small blemish on each cylinder.  The case exterior shows some handling wear with some minor dents & scratches.  Very few of these were made.  They are excellent quality with working accessories.  The capper and flask would each sell for at least $1,000.00 if sold separately.  This is the first one of these I have been able to offer in many years!  !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
