Project Description
!!!!!Returned to Consignor!!!!! This is a rare 1/2 scale BelMex 3mm centerfire single shot derringer pistol by the legendary Tom P. Weston of Mexico City, Mexico, probably made from the late 1940’s to early 1960’s. 2 5/16″ long overall with a 1 5/16″ barrel of about .101 caliber. Fire blue finish except for the hammer which is case colored. Beautiful two piece mother of pearl grips with yellow brass escutcheons and a single screw entering from the left side. Serrated hammer spur and trigger front. There is a blued steel wire lanyard loop on the bottom of the grip. The 3mm center fire BelMex pistols are easy to tell from the 2mm rimfire by the very pointed hammer & larger bore diameter. The 3mm center fire BelMex pistols are much scarcer than the 2mm rimfire models. The pistol shows about 98% strong original fire blue finish, and shows no signs of having ever been fired. Complete with the original hinged top casing with push button latch. The case exterior covered in red felt . The case interior bottom lined in a dark burgundy velour with two loops, one for the pistol barrel, & one for the included capsule of the very rare 3mm centerfire blanks cartridges, two of which are included. Accessories included a walnut handled cleaning/ejector rod & the afore mentioned capsule of 3mm rimfire blank cartridges. Returned to Consignor.
