Project Description

This is a 1/2 scale BelMex 2mm rimfire single shot pistol by the legendary Tom P. Weston of Mexico City, Mexico, probably made from the mid 1940’s to mid 1960’s.  2 3/16″ long overall with a 1 1/4″ barrel of about .075 caliber.  Fire blue finish.  Two piece mother of pearl grips with yellow brass escutcheons and a single screw entering from the left side.  The backstrap has a lanyard stud with a swivel ring.  Serrated trigger front and hammer spur.  Complete with the original Weston hinged top clamshell cardboard box with push button latch.  The outside of the box covered in red felt.  The interior bottom lined in a dark green velour with 2 loops, one for the barrel and one for the included pill capsule of 2mm rimfire blank cartridges.  The interior lid lined in an off white silk with the Weston markings.  Includes the original ivory handle blue steel cleaning rod with yellow brass ferrule and a twisted wire bristle bore cleaning brush.  The pistol shows  90% strong original charcoal blue, and shows little sign of having been shot.  The box is excellent.
