Project Description
!!!!!PRICE REDUCED!!!!! This is a 1/3 scale Colt “Baby” Paterson black powder percussion five shot revolver with the Ehler’s loading lever made by Tom Weston of Mexico City, Mexico, circa 1950 – 1965. The revolver is 3 1/8″ long overall with a 1 9/16″ octagon barrel of .118 caliber. Highly polished bright charcoal blue steel finish. One piece medium dark colored walnut grip. Blued cone front sight. Fully functional, including the folding trigger, & proper indexing cylinder . Includes the original Weston mahogany case with push button latch. The interior semi-French fit and lined in a dark purple velour. Accessories include the proper single spout fully functional brass powder flask, a three legged bullet mold with walnut handles & brass ferules that cast a single round ball, and the combination tool which is a nipple wrench, screwdriver, and mainspring vise. The left rear of the frame & the backstrap have turned a smooth plum color, the balance of the revolver shows a beautiful bright charcoal blue. The flask has a pleasing aged patina. The mold & tool are near mint. The case is near mint, showing only some minor dings & scratches. The bottom lightly stamped “WKDF”, which I think stands for Weston Krafts, the DF being the state in Mexico Weston’s shop was located in. I’ve never seen this marking on a Weston case. The case top has an overlaid rectangular brass escutcheon with scalloped corners. The front cover on the book case is very loose, having separated about 80% from the spine. The book case is titled “THE TOURIST COMPANION”. Also included is a small paperback booklet with some history of the Eiler’s Paterson, Tom Weston, & Fred Thacker. Priced accordingly. Stock # BF-38. Price Reduced: $2,250.00.
