Project Description
!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a cased pair of about 1/4 scale Colt 1911 semi-automatic pistols by the renown Tom P. Weston of Mexico City, Mexico. Probably made somewhere around the late 1940’s to the mid 1960’s. These were supposedly made by prisoners in some jail or prison in Mexico City. Each pistol is 2 5/16″ long with a 1 3/16″ barrel of about .124 caliber. These shoot, single shot, the 2mm thick rim rimfire blank cartridges. The hammer can be cocked manually, and will also cock when the slide is retracted. To shoot these, the trigger is actually the grip safety, which when depressed drops the hammer. Yellow brass construction except for the screws which are steel finished in the white, the lanyards which looks to be silver, and the grips which are mother of pearl. The grips are held in place by four brass pins, two on each side. Although a little out of proportion, these are very collectible and highly sought after. Complete with a nice hinged top walnut casing with slide latch. The interior French fit and lined in a dark red velvet. The bottom lined in a black felt. Stock # MK-7. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
