!!!!!SOLD!!!!! This is a 1/2 scale “Peanut”, or the smallest size offered, of the percussion single shot pistols made by Henry Derringer of Philadelphia. 2 7/8″ long overall with a 1 9/32″ part octagon, part round rust blued barrel of about .219 caliber. The barrel breech with two inlaid silver bands. Rust blued steel parts including the barrel, lock assembly, wedge, trigger, dovetailed front sight, and lock screws. German silver furniture with a trap door in the butt. One piece oil finished walnut stock. The lock has a safety notch, then both half and full cock, but the hammer will not hold on full cock. The tumbler or sear need a little tweeking. Very fine condition showing 98% original rust blue, the German silver showing some minor oxidation, and the stock with 99+% original finish. Really near mint with just the most subtle of handling marks. This is only the second one of these I’ve ever seen in almost 25 years of dealing in miniatures. Stock # KS-738. !!!!!SOLD!!!!!
